The Self Publishing Process, but in Infographic Form

I would assume by now—if you have been reading my blog posts—you might know that I am quite a fan of the publishing process, more specifically the self publishing process—or publishing a book outside of the traditional companies (via the agent route). Self publishing can be tricky, no doubt, as with anything else in life, but with a little bit of planning and research, it does not have to be. My goal with my website is to help you better understand the process and hopefully plan a stress free approach to publishing your book baby :) Below I have created an infographic with the most important steps of the publishing process in my experience.

NOTE: While marketing and hiring a cover designer are both located towards the end of the list of steps, I would consider those to be less of an item you would want hold off on and rather steps that should be started/completed as soon as possible—though everyones publishing process is different and if there is no specific timeline set in place, they can be certainly be completed at a later stage in the process, thus their position on the infographic (though I would argue that marketing is an ongoing step and should be a constant push, but as I said, everyone has different expectations that would change their process).
